Recently I have bought and used Japanese skin care products for myself. I have heard a lot about Asian skin care beauty cult, and I happened to be at Japanese market in Los Angeles, where they sell a lot of different Japanese skin care and. I immediately decided to try some. Of course I decided to start with more affordable brand Hada Labo.

After doing a little research online, I found out that the bestselling product from this brand was a moisturizing hyaluronic face lotion. This is the first product I have bought to try. The results were wonderful. Now I do understand why this is one of the most bestselling products in Japan. They do have a couple different versions of it, I chose the one for sensitive skin. After one week of use, I and my family have noticed that my skin became smoother and clearer. I struggled a lot from acne, I still have scars and post acne marks, but I did notice that my complexion improved. This stuff has really worked for me.
The next product I have tried from Japanese skin care was Lululun face masks in White. To be honest I did not like this product so much. It left a sticky feeling on my skin ( I need to remind you that I have oily to combination skin type). However my mother fell in love with this masks after first use. It did brighten her skin as it claims to do, and also moisturized it well. From this I can assume that these masks suit drier, mature skin types. These masks are recommended to use every day.

Japanese women know a lot about skin care, that’s why they have a couple more extra steps in their skin care routine. For example, before washing their face with gel or soap they clean it first with oil to remove all impurities and makeup. Different Japanese skin care brands have these type of oils. Two of the most famous are from Biore and DHC. The Biore one is a very light weighted oil, it removes makeup pretty well including mascara. It also washes off very easily. DHC oil is a bit heavier than Biore, as it is based on olive oil. For me it was a little bit harder to remove makeup with it. Speaking about olive oil, it has its own advantages and disadvantages. Olive oil is reach in vitamin E and other antioxidants which is good for skin, but it also can clog pores because it is very rich. I will still try DHC makeup removing oil to see if I like it more but for now I prefer Biore.

After exploring Hada Labo brand which is very affordable compared to some other Japanese brands, for example Tatcha, I realized I want to try their other products. I have chosen their face moisturizer and AHA-BHA face wash. The wash is supposed to exfoliate skin since it contains AHA and BHA acids. However do not expect immediate results, since the concentration of those acids in product is small. The wash itself is really lightweighted, it has creamy consistence and is easy to wash. I do recommend this product. It did not irritate my skin either and I have sensitive skin.

HADA LABO Goku-jyun Cream is very rich. That is why it is suggested to use it at night time. However if you have dry to very dry skin, this cream can be used during the day time too. It absorbs well.
